The Sweet Story Behind Candy the Reindeer

Before Candy the Reindeer ever dreamed of laying down peppermint paths for Santa’s sleigh, he was just a small-town boy from Weaver, Alabama — known to his friends and family as Thomas.

A whiz in the classroom and a star on the baseball field, Thomas chased big dreams from Bevill State to Tennessee Tech, earning Academic All-American honors along the way.

But his real magic started at the University of Alabama School of Medicine, where he met his future wife, Anastasia, and finished first in his class (just like Rudolph leading the pack!).

After becoming a radiologist and completing a neuroradiology fellowship at UAB, Thomas and Anastasia turned their attention to their greatest creations: their three little elves — Valentina, Victoria, and Julian — and one very special reindeer named Candy.

Born from family traditions, holiday magic, and a whole lot of heart, Candy the Reindeer is here to spread joy, one candy trail at a time.
